Discover how to use Teamstudio Unplugged to give mobile users access to your Notes and Domino applications from a mobile device. Get an overview of the platform’s architecture and the Notes/Domino features it supports, and then learn the steps to follow when mobilizing an existing Notes or Domino application using Unplugged.

You have several options available for making Domino application data available on mobile devices like BlackBerry, iPhone, and Android. To help you choose the right development platform for your particular needs, I have been covering the mobile application platforms that provide native support for Domino as part of my series on mobilizing Domino. In this article, the focus is on Teamstudio Unplugged.
Teamstudio Unplugged provides direct support for mobilizing IBM Lotus Domino applications using Domino Designer. Compatible with Domino Server 8.5.1 and beyond, Unplugged supports the BlackBerry platform today and is expected to support both the Apple iOS and Google Android platforms in the future. Although it doesn't require any special development tools other than what's provided with Domino Designer, Unplugged has a steeper learning curve than some other mobile platforms for Domino. Its capabilities make it well worth learning, however. I will highlight them for you now and show you how to modify your existing Notes and Domino applications to work with Unplugged 1.2. You’ll gain insight into the platform’s strengths and weaknesses and the options it provides for mobilizing your data.
